GoingMerryLine (the “App”) is operated by Going Merry LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built the App to keep your personal phone number private, and we apply the same restraint to the data we handle.
1. Information we collect
Account information
You sign in with Sign in with Apple. We receive a stable identifier from Apple (your Apple account identifier) and, if you choose to share it, your name and an email address. We do not collect or store a password. If you hide your email through Apple's private relay, we only see the relay address.
Device information
To keep your account secure on a single device, we store a device identifier and basic technical details you provide (such as device model, app version, and operating-system version). We use a push-notification token to deliver incoming call and message alerts to your device.
Your phone number and communications
When you obtain a number through the App, we store the number and metadata needed to route your calls and messages — for example, sender and recipient numbers, timestamps, and delivery status. Calls and text messages are carried by our telephony provider (Twilio) so that they can reach the regular phone network. Message content and any media you send or receive pass through that provider to be delivered.
Subscription information
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and managed with our subscription provider (Adapty). We receive your subscription status and entitlement information (for example, whether a subscription is active and when it renews or expires) so we can provision and maintain your number. We do not receive or store your full payment card details — Apple handles billing.
2. How we use information
- To create and secure your account and keep it active on one device at a time.
- To provision your second number and route your calls, texts, and media.
- To deliver push notifications for incoming calls and messages.
- To verify your subscription and manage renewals, grace periods, and number release.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, and technical issues.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the App, and only as needed:
- Apple — authentication (Sign in with Apple) and App Store subscription billing.
- Twilio — telephony provider that carries your calls and messages over the phone network.
- Adapty — subscription management and entitlement verification.
- Infrastructure providers — hosting, databases, and push-notification delivery.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users or others.
4. Mobile messaging, SMS & consent
What messages we send. When you use GoingMerryLine, the App sends and receives SMS and MMS messages from the phone number assigned to your account, and we may send you account or service messages — for example, one-time verification codes and alerts about incoming calls or messages. These are transactional messages tied to your use of the service.
Your consent. By creating an account and enabling messaging features, you consent to receive the messages described above at the device and number associated with your account. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not require you to consent to marketing as a condition of using the App.
Message frequency & rates. Message frequency varies based on how you use the App. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
Opt-out and help. You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP to any message, or by disabling notifications and removing your number in the App. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@goingmerry.xyz. See our Messaging Policy for full details.
How we protect your mobile data. No mobile information — including your phone number and your SMS/text-messaging opt-in data and consent — will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share information only with the service providers that help us deliver the messaging service (such as our telephony provider), and only as needed to carry your messages. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties for their own purposes.
5. Data retention
We keep account and communications data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must retain limited records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations. A released number may be returned to our telephony provider and reassigned to another customer.
6. Your choices and rights
- Access & deletion. You can delete your account from within the App, which removes your profile and ends your sessions.
- Subscriptions. You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
- Notifications. You can control push notifications in your device settings.
- Requests. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. Contact us using the details below.
7. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections and limiting account access to a single active device. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International users
We operate from the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the App you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in these locations.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App.
